First of all congrats on Green who managed to tear up the charts and pursue his dreams to the fullest. He had a couple of false starts and has been through some shit over the last few years. Its good that everything finally worked out for for him.
The party was held near the old stables in Shepherds Bush, and everybody was there……everyone form the UK scene passed through.
I met a lot of good friends at this party tonight including Fink! Fink is a very good friend of mine. We both worked at the Belly of The Beast back in the day, the 4th floor of he Sony building.
I owe a lot to him, as he showed me how to survive and endure the oppressive corporate game and I probably would have been a lot more eratic, and flipped a tables over if it wasn’t for his advice.
We spent countless days in the office; on the grind, listening to rap, dealing with the daily B.S., and promising each other that we were going to make it one way or another.
It’s good to see that Fink is now a fully fledged artist, a Singer/Songwriter who actually wrote ‘Green Light’ for John Legend, and countless other tracks by your favourite R&B artist, and drives a 60 foot long Jaguar V8. He has also produced and features on ‘Closing The Door’ for Pro Green.
Not bad for a guy who started in the Post room
Big up my brother MK, Maverick Sabre, and everyone else who was at the party.
…..and I swiped a Pro Green Umberella on the way out. They made 50 in case it rained.
