‘Pon De Floor’ by Major Lazer [Diplo] is one of the biggest club bangers out there. Yeah it’s been out for a minute, but its still that joint that you throw on the decks at the peak of your set.

Many artists have tried to tame this beast of a track, and it isn’t easy. Most MC’s have failed because they’ve tried to approach the track from a ‘rapper mentality’. This isn’t the track to go in with deep lyrics, to try to own, or to prove that your better than the next MC. ‘Pon De Floor’ is strictly for the clubs, you have to rap with the track not over it or against it, the riddim is too powerful. Double S, D Double E, and Princess Nyah are the only artists that have been able to do this.

Big up Princess Nyah, she’s smacked it. She did her own version of ‘Pon De Floor’ for her forth-coming mixtape. Diplo heard it, liked it, and now her mix is one of the official remixes.
