Since 2003 the BBC has picked the brains of up to 165 music critics, editors, and DJ’s to create a list of the most promising talent the UK has to offer that they think will be most successful in the coming year. Each person nominates 3 artists/bands they feel are deserving of appearing on the list and from that a top 10 is created. The top five will then be ranked and revealed in reverse order in the week commencing 4 January 2010, with one act named each day until the winner is unveiled on 8 January

The two that stand out most for me and two people I would like to congratulate and wish the best of luck for when the list is announced in January are Giggs and Devlin. 2010 is set to be a massive year for both artists, Giggs will be releasing his follow up to Walk In Da Park having recently signed to record label XL I was lucky enough to spend an evening in the studio hearing some tracks off of his new album and I can tell you now he has some serious bangers. Devlin has had incredible success with London City and 2010 will see the release of his debut album Bud, Sweat and Beers, which I have no doubt will make a massive impact on the UK scene.
