So you might remember me posting up a Wale joint a while back titled Letter. It’s probably one of my favourite tracks of his I have heard so I was surprised today when I saw these tweets from Rhymefest.

Rhymefest went on to say

The song ‘Letter’ was originally slated for my J Records Elche release. I was planning on to use it for my upcoming March album release.

The track was originally produced by Animal House and Mark Ronson replayed it and we put John Mayer on it. Wale Just jacked it.

I’m not looking for rapper beef. I just thought yall should know when you hear his it aint really his, I will post mine again later today.

Wale and I were both working out of Allido studios so our music was accessible to each other.

I asked Wale about it, called him up personally. His reply was basically ah I aint know you were usin it, Mark gave it to me.

I ain’t mad at him I got joints and im used to shit like this happening to me. But I just want yall to know

Mark Ronson isnt innocent in this either! It wasnt even his track he replayed my boys track for me and gave it to Wale like fuck fest.

I just feel Wale and I were cool he shouldve stood up for what was right.

I’m not on Allido anymore I had to step away honestly they did Wale wrong too. Mark didnt even work with him.

Mark and Wale both responsible I’m tired of young black men being the fall guys when we should stand up for whats right.

Check out both version’s below, is there one you prefer? I’m not sitting on the fence on this one but I’m actually feeling both. Either way, interesting to hear about the origin’s of the track and who it belongs to!
