KANYE WEST APOLOGISES ON JAY LENO | THE TRUE WINNERS OF THE VMA'S

He made a mistake.
He apologised [and didn't blame it on the a...]
He’s got issues to deal with.
He’s said publicly that he’s going to address them.

What more can he say?

He’s one of the most innovative, creative artists of our time, he speaks his mind, unlike 99.9% that don’t stand for shit or have an opinion of their own. For all the good that he does [being a brilliant artist, starting careers, employing people, charity work, etc] there will be a few occasions that he fucks up, but thats cool, its called being human. Most of us do it,……but not on TV.

Obama actually got elected via the help of artists like Kanye and Jay-z being outspoken, which is why Obama had them help him on the campaign trail, perform at his inauguration, accepted the much needed Hip-Hop co-sign, so it’s hypocritical if he did actually call Kanye a ‘Jackass‘ in public.

Kanye made a mistake on the circus that is the VMA’s, a shallow political award show. The same show that allowed Bruno to put his balls in Eminem’s face, and Britney to perform when she was pilled up, ‘Celebretons showing they kitten’, etc. they thrive on BS for ratings, so please don’t put them on the moral high ground.

At the end of the day, MTV got the highest ratings in years. Taylor Swift is now more popular than ever. Yes, he stole her moment and he was wrong for doing it, but she in turn has had her moment amplified X 100,000 thanks to Beyonce, and the public response. Her album sales have gone up. So she won in a major way. In hindsight, she actually got the best moment that you could possibly imagine or ask for.

Jay Leno gets the much needed ratings on the week that he launches a new 5 week schedule.
I’m not sure if the question about his mum was appropriate. Think about it, did he need to go there? Either way, Jay Leno won.

You, the viewer were entertained more than any other crap award show you’ve ever seen, and you’ve watched the clips multiple times, you got that rare situation that we all crave for on a daily basis ‘value for money’, and as a bonus you got to see Kanye humbled on national TV. You have officially been served. You won too.

So can we all chill on the Kanye bashing?

Don’t get it twisted most artists that are being vocal about this, are Just pissed that Ye’ didn’t work with them, doesn’t acknowledge them, or they just haven’t got any heat and are hoping that they get mentioned in his next 16 bar verse. So yes, they are speaking out right now.

Kelly Clarkson got a little brave and spoke out against him, but is that really about Taylor Swift or because Kanye openly questioned the validity of music based reality shows?

Ye is a joker period. Everyone fucks up, shit happens. When Jay brought up his mumsie I bet it really made him think.

    Lets put this into perspective:

Michael Jackson – 14 Grammy’s and never had a childhood
Kanye West – 12 Grammy’s and is never gonna have an adulthood.

He’s bound to act like a kid still. He is a visionary… it was also HILARIOUS. Not as much as ODB at the Grammy’s but nonetheless it did indeed give me a right old chuckle.

Sidenote: How the eff did Kanye get 12 Grammy’s?? He’s only been on radar for 6 years!

Can people stop trying to justify this man’s behaviour because of talent and what not. I’m sorry he was wrong and he knows it. I don’t care if MTV is a sham of awards that lives off of publicity stunts, i don’t care of Taylor Swift’s sales have tripled, i don’t care if the man is talented the fact of the matter is this man DISRESPECTED a human being on national TV for no reason. He ran up on that stage, didn’t even let the girl finish her speech, GRABBED THE MIC OUT OF HER HHAND ( WHO DOES THAT) to talk crap and was beyonce even thankful for what he did, NO. He looked like an absolute idiot.

I’ll admit he’s entitled to his opinion but he also has plenty of avenues to vent those opinions, why couldn’t he have done it whilst being interviewed post awards, why didn’t he use his blog, why did he have to make the girl feel like sh*t??? Did you see her reaction, she just stood there, shocked, baffled, lost for words….

ARROGANCE gets you nowhere especially if its at the expense of others and i’m glad they’re getting on his *ss for it, next time he’ll think before he speaks.

Semtex stop trying to make excuses for his behaviour, i’ll admit he’s human and we all make mistakes but thats as far as it goes because MTV did not tell him to go and tell the girl that she ain’t sh*t, he did that and her sales would not have doubled or tripled if it wasn’t for his OWN stupidity. We all know if this was Rihanna instead of Taylor Swift, this fool would be the first to run his mouth.

Anyway i hope he’s learnt his lesson, next time keep your mouth shut Kanye.

Sem, UR right but so is Nina, but this is getting way more airtime than it really warrants. Kanye was unquestionably wrong but the over-the-top racist vitriol in response on outlets like twitter is ridiculous and far worse than the initial offense. It’s time to move on for everyone concerned on both sides of the debate.

  6. mb, September 17, 2009:

Nina is right. YOu can’t justify or excuse his behaviour.

Sure it’s getting loads of exposure but that how the news works. It makes the news not because it was invalid criticism but purely because it was so rude.
Admittedly there is racist comments going around but that happens that doesn’t make Kanye any more right, Kanye himself hasn’t been accused of racism but if a white musician had done that to a black singer people would say it was racist and Kanye would be top of the list of peoplesaying it.

Obama’s comments weren’t meant to be public. They were off part of an off the record conversation that under traditional jounalistic etiquette would not have been broadcast. He just said what any other person would have said.

Kanye gets bashed because he’s arrogant likes to say who should get awards but can’t take it when awards don’t go to him.

He’s talented but we can’t all make excuses for rudeness by saying “that’s just what he’s like, thaqt’s what makes him who he is”. What kind of man snatches a microphone out of a girls hand?

Read what I wrote . No one is saying what he did was right, but don’t get caught up in the ciircus that is the vma’s.
They thrive on fuckery, because they know that is what the public wants to see.
They know what he’s like, it was clear to anyone on the night that he was drunk, but they gave him a front row seat???
Who actually suffered on the night???

Can’t believe your actually justifying the racist shit???
