    The first person I told about J.Cole I told them he’s like Drake but… etc, etc.

    I think thats because they both represent a similar thing, really the first new generation of mc’s that aren’t in competition with Jay or Nas, but are the voice of the generation that grew off their music, and look like they’re true successors.
    I hear bare people say, “Drake’s like Jay Z and J.Cole’s like Nas” yeah… kind of. Basically from the point of view Drakes going for the commercial crown, while J.Cole’s more about “one mic”, that’s true, but both are totaly different, they’re both products of our time and its a different time.

    I guess you can band them together as they are like you say the new generation, but thats as far as the comparison goes for me.

    Two totally different styles both unique to them which is nice, definitely looking forward to both their albums

    'Pass Out' by Tinie Tempah is easily one of the biggest Hip-Hop joints of the year. It's the first joint he released and it went straight to no.1. Not only is it a club banger, it has inspired and moved a lot of artists across the UK to up their levels.

    Within days of the 'Pass Out' instrumental being serviced a lot of versions started to emerge, some of them got played on the radio, some get blazed in the clubs, some hit Youtube, some never saw the light of day. Roy came up with the idea of putting all the mixes together on one file. Some of the versions are hot, interesting, and some are well......you know. Regardless, its inspiring to see over 20 different artists new and old across HipHop, Grime, R&B, and Dancehall jump on a UK track. I haven't seen this happen on a UK track before, and as 'Pass out' stayed at no.1 for the second week, its only right that we put all the versions together in one file.

    Straight out of Kansas, XV is a rapper/producer who has been putting in the work for a minute. He sounds reminiscent of an early Common Sense or Lupe Fiasco, and like both of those MCs he has bars for days.

    The 30 minute layover is his latest mixtape, and it is the prelude to the forth-coming 'Vizzy Zone' mixtape. Forget 'Vizzy Zone' for a minute. This is a tight body of work that needs to be on your hard drive. The concept alone is the story of my life right now.
