In the run up to the Wu-tang extravaganza taking place on my show this Friday, i’m gonna be posting covers of my favourite Wu-tang albums.
Its difficult to say which is the best Wu-tang album of all time, but this has got to be a contender, as well as being one of the hottest HipHop albums ever!
WHAT MAKES THIS ALBUM HOT?
- Verbal Intercourse featuring Nas.
- Criminology
- Glaciers Of Ice
- The Raekwon font, clever mix of upper and lower case lettering. Never been done since.
- I know a few Ray’s, but how many people do you know called Raekwon? Sick name.
- The legendary ‘Purple Tape’.
I’ve never actually seen a copy of this. This was the promo cassette referred to as the ‘Purple Tape’, even though no one uses cassettes any more this is probably worth a lot of dough!
